Senior Lab Consultant (Freelance / Copenhagen)

For a client in Copenhagen we are looking for a freelance Senior Lab Consultant.

Project Scope, Description & Key Objectives

System replacement/upgrade of current biological electronic laboratory notebook (bio-ELN) which covers a diverse range of distinct drug discovery activities including but not limited to screening, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, toxicology, and pharmacology.

Role

As Senior Lab Consultant you will assist with ELN vendor selection. As-Is, To-Be interviews, requirement collection, use case selection and writing, partner with procurement to run the RfI and RfP. You will also manage stakeholders.

Skills

Many years of lab experience; pharmaceutical R&D, biologic workflows, in vitro & in vivo research, project management, ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook).

Main activities

• Identify and scope the business units within R&D to be covered by the new bio-ELN.
• Review current application landscape.
• Facilitate and gather business requirements across the client’s research functions.
• Facilitate and gather IT requirements.
• Evaluate and compare current application landscape and commercial solutions against the requirements collected from different laboratory workflows and business functions – with the objective to select the best suited application / combination of applications to support the needs of the company.
• Facilitate system architectural discussions to provide strategic directions for the integration of a new ELN in the Research Informatics system landscape.
• Manage vendor selection hereunder the RfP process according to company procedures.

• Project plan and scope
• Base line / As-Is outlining the current workflows for each R&D business unit to be covered by the new ELN
• Business/IT/security requirements for the new ELN
• Evaluation current laboratory systems and mapping to collected requirements
• Use cases to be demonstrated by the vendor
• Business case
