The Danish National Life Science Supercomputing Center, Computerome is a High-Performance Computing (HPC) facility specialized in Life Science. Users include research groups from the Danish universities and large international research consortiums as well, as users from industry and the public health care sector. They all benefit from the fast, flexible, and secure infrastructure, and the ability to combine different types of sensitive data for computational analysis. The supercomputer infrastructure is being managed by a strong team of specialists located at DTU Lyngby.

The job

We are looking for an energic Security and Compliance Officer who will join a growing team managing the security and compliance of a high-performance Linux cluster at the national supercomputing platform.

Our new Compliance Officer will be assisting the Compliance team in establishing and maintaining the ISMS and GDPR related managing systems and all associated documentation to ensure the team is following all correct policies and procedures.

Primary areas of responsibility

As a Compliance Officer, your main tasks would include:

  • Maintaining and developing our processes (ISAE 3000 and ISO 27001)
  • Maintaining and ensuring documentation of compliance activities
  • Performing reviews and preparing required compliance reports
  • Developing new processes
  • Evaluating procedures to meet the specifications of internal standards
  • Participating in the deployment of the new security and compliance systems
  • Providing training on compliance-related topics, policies, or procedures and documents
  • Performing and facilitating risk evaluations of IT systems and processes
  • Monitoring the organisation’s compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws

Our expectations of you

The competencies that will be required:

  • Experience working with compliance in IT or a degree in Security, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 standard
  • Understanding of GDPR
  • Knowledge of Information Security Management and Risk Assessment
  • Good understanding of working with processes or IT product development combined with a solid business and IT understanding in working with new systems and IT tools

Would be a plus to have experience with:

  • Knowledge of other IT Management standards and methodologies like ISO 20000, ITIL, and COBIT
  • Knowledge of organizational management methods

Salary and appointment terms

Terms of appointment and payment according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC).
