Your challenges

As IT Front Office Supporter, you will represent VELUX IT as the first point of contact on IT-related issues throughout our units worldwide, primarily focusing on (but not limited to) Belgium. You will join the North West Region IT Support team and be based in Wavre, Belgium.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide daily IT support to colleagues by phone and e-mail, via remote screen takeover or by direct contact. You work hands-on with IT inquiries, and you follow up on our external partners and provide feedback to users. More specifically, you will:

  • Provide excellent first-line support on e.g., Office 365, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote and mobile devices
  • Handling and prioritising the most urgent support inquiries, following up on and registering completed tasks in Service Now
  • Documentation of IT support policies and business procedures across VELUX IT
  • Share knowledge within the support team and across VELUX IT
  • Carry out service to a degree where high satisfaction is ensured every time

Your qualifications

You describe yourself as structured, independent and solution oriented making you able to prioritise and structure your work on your own. Being service minded comes naturally to you and you understand the importance of delivering timely and high-quality IT support. You easily engage with people across cultures and organisational levels utilising your excellent communication skills and you have what it takes to be a respected IT ambassador and an appreciated colleague.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Have an IT supporter degree or equivalent
  • Have some years’ experience working with IT support
  • Communicate effortlessly in English, Flemish and French as you will provide support in all three languages
  • Have interest in modern technology and know your way around basic IT, e.g., MS Office suite, Service Now and Windows OS – we will teach you the rest!

Your opportunities

You will join a team consisting of 11 dedicated IT support colleagues located in four countries. We work closely together sharing knowledge and insights as well as good laughs. We will support you with a thorough onboarding and introduction to your tasks and the IT systems that we use in the IT support function.
You will be offered a permanent position with VELUX A/S standard terms.
